How we made this animation to show technical services

Technical Animation Engineering marketing

Vista Engineering commissioned this video as a marketing tool for their engineering services.

They are based in Reykjavik and they wanted to include some local landmarks.  The scene includes Hallgrímskirkja (the Lutheran Church), Harpan (musichall),  city hall and the national football stadium, Laugardagsvöllur.

The challenge was to capture all these plus the services in action such as water provision, water heating, parking, energy conservation and lighting.

The solution was a low poly build in isometric view.  A variety of animation techniques were used.  Snow falling and melting to demonstrate under pitch heating. Geo thermally heated water stored and pumped. Traffic monitoring.  Weather monitoring.  All the data collected been transmitted to a central data centre.

Still from a 3D animation of Reykjavik's low poly city model, highlighting Vistas Engineering's smart services for energy and traffic.
